Anna is a performer and choreographer currently based in Brighton and London. Raised in Argentina, Brazil and the UK, she trained as a dancer in Brazil at the Facultade de Dança Angel Vianna and went onto work as an apprentice with the Cia de Dança Deborah Colker and with the choreographers Gustavo Cirico, Frederico Paredes and Maira Maneschy. She worked with Vertigo Dance Company in Israel on the pieces Vertigo 20and Mana. In musical theatre she currently performs as an actress/aerialist in Fantasia, at The Vaults and continue to free-lance between VDT, Ella Mesma Company, Leandro Palou Tango Academy, Artolution as well as her own projects.
She set up an inclusive dance practice in 2017 called Every.Body.Dances which uses the connecting/communicative foundation of Tango for SEN and wheel chair dancers. She recently transitioned to work with choreography through solo and group projects, for example a duet called “Where are my glasses?”, a Tango quartet “Transitions” for the Fusion showcase at Sadlers Wells in 2018 and a new film by Maria Abel Karim “Two women can’t Tango”. She has received a commission from the CASA Latin American Theatre festival to create a group dance/circus piece for CASA festival 2019. She is also appearing in the new VDT dance piece “The Art Of Attachment”.
